Slash has been a huge inspiration for me to this day (along with Joe Perry) and the band's bassist Duff Mckagan is my all time favorite rock icon.

Song-wise, probably it doesn't require any explanation from me.
Like many other guitar players, I also can't remember how many times I've ever played these cool riffs & solos in my life.
もう "Welcome To The Jungle" という曲そのものについての説明は要らないと思いますが、私も他のギタリストさん同様、人生で何回このリフ・曲を弾いてきたか見当もつきません。
What I like most about Slash's guitar solos up until 2000 is their story-telling flows, something generally we find in singers' performance.
In this song too, it feels to me that his soloing was largely inspired by the backing chord progression out there.
(I think his soloing style had started changing during Velvet Revolver days & got reframed through a run with SMKC)
私が2000年頃までのスラッシュのギターソロで一番好きだった点は、まるでシンガーが歌うように、ソロの中だけで「ストーリーが展開されるような流れ」です。
個人的な感覚ですが、この曲のソロでも、バッキングに対してメロディを乗せていくかのようにフレーズを決めていったのかな？と感じます。
（スラッシュのソロに対するアプローチはVelvet Revolver期に変わり始めて、マイルス・ケネディとのソロバンドの活動を通じて成熟し、別のものに進化した気がします）
And if I have to repeat & emphasize one from all those praises the song has ever earnt, it's gonna be Duff's effective phrasings to create this characteristic jungle vibe.
By covering his part too this time, I think I better understood how the interaction between guitars and bass is working so well.
it's absolutely about enhancing each other, not compensating.
この曲に関してはもう十分すぎるくらい賛辞が述べられていますが、その中で私が再度強調するならば、この「独特のジャングル感」を巧みに生み出しているダフのフレージングになると思います。
今回ベースもカバーしたことによって、ギターとベースがどう相互に作用しているかをより深く理解出来ましたし、2つのパートが「補い合う」というより、「相互に上手く引き立てあっている」ということに尽きると思います。
